What do you mean Dana? Do you think its gonna turn up or something? We may aswell just forget the writing in the toilet, there's nothing we can do. I know we're gettin a new plaque, but its not the original, and i don't know bout you's, but i want the one that has been up back, I know the new one will be as good, but i think the original has become sentimental already, especially sine it disappeared

I didnt see the writing in the toilet, would have liked to if only to see what some people are thinking. You must also bear in mind that there are some people who don't appreciate the plaque. You can drill it into the wall, you can glue it to the wall, but believe me, someone determined enough will get it down again if they want. That is unless you put it under supervision and I doubt they are going to pay for a CCTV camera to be pointing at the plaque all the time. Also, Ive heard from a few people over the last few weeks, that they disapprove of the plaque and what it says. Now Im not saying I agree with them or not, but at the same time, just be aware there are people in the pub who a). dont believe Bunny should have a plaque proclaiming the Beer Garden to be his and b). don't think Bunny was that great a guy. Now that means simply that there are people who may not appreciate the plaque and will remove/vandalise it. Just be aware, it is their right to feel that way and just as it is your right to put up a plaque and writing about how good Bunny was, it is their right to proclaim otherwise

Yes Phil, people do have a right to think that way, but do not have a right to vandalise it. Have you ever heard the old saying " Dont speak ill of the dead"? If anyone has a problem with the plaque, they can come speak to me about it. But the fact that its not their beer garden, the fact that its none of their business, the fact they are just customers in a pub, says it all. The beer garden idea was something we all came up with, including Dave, as a fitting tribute to Warren. We will be replacing and will continue to replace it, if it gets stolen again. And for the record, CCTV cameras ain't that dear anymore, and if it comes to it, i'll put one up!

"Don't speak ill of the dead" Ah leave Hitler alone. Is that what you're getting at Tom? I fairness Rob, Bunny was just a normal guy, fair enough he may have a pissed a few people off in his time, who doesn't, but what was written in the toilets was out of order. And if they dont like the plaque say it to Dave, it wasn't theirs to take.
