i have this idea that the reason it always says theres more viewing than what there is is because on the 'General' page it always says '2 viewing', even if you're the only one on. then if you go into the board, it usually says '3 viewing' if you're the only one on still. i'm guessing the 2 just gets added to the number of people listed as being on. do i make any sense, or am i wayyy off??

its prob jus people coming into the site to view it that aren't logged in or there is people on it jus check the bottom of the general page they name all the people on it

thats what i mean though, like it'll say, i dunno, the names of three people, then when you go in it says 5 viewing

It's probably something to do with how the cgi application keeps track of who was looking at the board the last time it was updated. Programming is funny like that.

Right, when you sign into this board it gives you an option of how long you want to be signed in for. One of the options is forever, If you choose this option it means that every time you come back to the site you dont have to sign in again. Hence, even when you are not online, you are signed into the board & viewing.
