i stand by my opinion that this country would be in a much better state if we were run by britain What kind of idiot bull crap is that??? Christ, how many people in your country died so that you could say THAT??? And what kind of fucking utopian state do you think Britain is in?? GRRRRRR... hang on, people dying in my country? im more Brit than I am Irish. and you all seem to be forgetting that its not long since this country was on its knees (if you could say it isnt still) and it wont be too long before its back there again. im all for patriotism and whatnot, but you have to admit, this country is a joke. we MIGHT be decent, were it not for the fact that we're run by people who couldnt organise a piss up in a brewery. i think Michael Collins et al were fantastic people with great visions, but surely this wasnt what they had planned for the place. and as for peoples remarks on the north, i'll have you know that asides from the odd major occurance (eg. the omagh bomb), every single northern county is, in my opinion, a million times safer than the rough areas of Dublin.

yes, well some might say that your opinion doesnt count, being british and all. if you are more british than irish then why havent i heard you laying claim to india, or australia or candada. or is only countries that are not part of the common wealth that you're interested in?

britian was the same in the early 80's. We got in the late 80's & early 90's. America had it in the 30's, Russia has it now, every large country goes throgh a bit of a depression

were it not for the fact that we're run by people who couldnt organise a piss up in a brewery. Its always been tradition of your people to insisnt that the Irish are less able to cope, are less intelligent and couldnt run our own country all because were a little too good at organising a piss-up anywhere and everywhere. Mabey ya should work on your Loyalty to the Royalty.

theres no need to be. if you were to look at family, roots in this country etc, i guess you'd call me a brit. but i mean, i've been living here all my life so that makes me irish.
