Hey all
Just to remind everyone (cause ive only just remembered myself) that today was the John Lennons aniversary.
Can i request that nobody mentions the name of bastard who shot John on this tread because as yoko ono said he only done it for the fame and it would just mean he's winning so please dont.
Anyway enough about him.
John Lennon is a legend. He wrote, co wrote and preformed some of the most amazing music in history. He was part of one of the greatest and most inspiring groups of all time and should be remembered as the musical genius he was.
So stick on your fave Beatles song sit back and think of all the music he created and all the musicians who owe a debt to him and his co members of The Beatles.
And Thank God for John Lennon.

Well Tom it would appear that you are not much the ‘genious’ yourself. It would help if you could string a sentence together in a more coherent fashion, so we could all understand your idiotic ramblings. I’m sure you know enough about music to understand the huge debt we owe, not only John Lennon but The Beatles themselves.
However, I would only have to assume to you don’t understand music or its evolution and The Beatles important rule in that evolution. Before The Beatles, rock n roll was fading out and it took these four young boys from Liverpool to give a much needed jolt back into a dying medium. They wrote the book on melody in rock, you only have to listen to albums such as Rubber Soul, Revolver and The White Album to understand this. They were one of the first bands to use more modern production techniques in their albums, influencing others to use similar techniques. Bands like Deep Purple, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd would have NEVER came about if not for The Beatles .But I’m sure your too busy polluting your mind with the stinking black tar of death metal or some other form of Neanderthal music to understand this . Go get yourself an education in music, then perhaps you can come back and involve yourself in a debt.
If Lennon was a ‘scumbag’ or not is irrelevant. He was an artist genius and no matter how much of a ‘prick’ he was, it does not mean he deserved to be shot in the back while walking into his home. If that’s the price for being a prick, then I’m sure there is a firing squad at yours.
Oh, and before you shoot your mouth off about your opinions concerning John Lennon, perhaps you could take a step back and realise that there are people out there that are still saddened by the mans death, and would not appreciate the insensitive comments from an idiot like you.

Nah, robb woundn't change his name just to slag me off, he does that all the time anyway. And to answer deschain, i said he was a musical genious, the beatles were musical geniouses, well, maybe not Ringo. I just said they wern't great singers. Also, about the whole Chapman thing, i was making a point, if you can't mention his name you shouldn't mention Yoko Ono's as she only married John Lennon for the fame!
