how can you say you've been affected by his death? you wern't around No the question for you Tom, is how can you ask something like that. If someone says they are affected by the death of a random beggar living in Romania then it is there CHOICE to do so. YOU are not the authority on grief, and the deaths of people within the music world DOES affect others and even if you can‘t see that, at least RESPECT it. |

I can understand how Emma can be affected by JL dying. I mean I didnt personally know Bill Hicks or Richard Pryor, but I am affected by their deaths in a way. No, Im not throwing myself on the coffin, and neither is Emma claiming she was/is/did. Maybe she is more empathetic than Tom and some others, maybe she is more empathetic than me, but either way she does feel that his death was senseless and unnecessary and is saddened by it. Now I have vocalised my belief behind his death. It was a tragedy, thats without question (except to Tom who is as he has pointed out himself Mr.Controversy). I can see how it can happen, the same as it happened to Jill Dando, or Serena whats her features in America. With exposure to the world encourages the increase of mentally unhinged people taking an unhealthy interest in you. Just have a look at our crying wrestling fan!! Now thats fucking unhealthy.
I think I should also clarify that I was not attacking Emma for her wanting to remember JL, I was merely pissed off and attacking Deschain for his comments and his inability (IMHO) to accept others opinions no matter how much the offended his own opinions.
Also while I may not out and out agree with Emma not wanting to use the guys name, I can also see why it is other peoples right to say as they see fit. Now thats not to say I feel that Emma was censoring anyonr here or being OTT.
I know for a fact that sometimes I do end up forgetting the name of someone, or a disorder or something equally annoying, rarely do I have to 'relearn' it, but it can happen. It all really depends on how much you feel the relevance of it is. I mean I will forget the name of alot of people, but some of them I will never forget as to me some are more relevant!!
Finally as for Deschain, I could start another tirade about you or what you said, but it would be pointless, basically my bone of conjecture with you was the manner in which you launched into an attack on someone for their beliefs merely coz you felt otherwise. You may not have out and out started name calling, but you DID use a persons typos as a reference for an inferral of intelligence. To me that was OTT and I felt you were just too aggressive with your post.
There now, what else can we say that Tom can say the opposite of, just to be controversial.
