OK, so here's the dealio: Shelli gets her lil heart set on gettin a puppy, and asks the estate agents can she have one cause she needs written permission from the landlord. Agent says: should be ok, ill ask the landlord. Landlord says: no dog Shelli cries. So do I just resign myself to the fact that I can't have my little puppy Or is there anything at all I can do PS. I don't have direct contact with the landlord so I can't even try to persuade him myself.

Dont you already have a thousand other pets i mean if you can manage all them and not have the house wrecked surely the landlord must know that your responable enough to look after the house and have pets.
i say appeal to the landlord make up some medical reason for having one or somthing.

I'm gonna offer him more deposit money, and see if that helps, I mean if he's worried that a dog will damage the house then surely a higher deposit would cover that right?
Ill also propose an inspection within the first month of getting the dog to prove that it's not causing damage to the house.
Anyone got any other suggestions that I could try?

shelli, i'm dead sorry but i dont think you could get one. the pets you have in cages are one thing but dogs are a touchy subject with landlords and stuff because they can be quite destructive (especially the big clumsy kind). is there any way you could get the landlords phone number maybe, to have a chat?

i still dont think it would work though. he'd wonder why a dog was the biggest thing on her mind, and not whether or not the house was suitable for a blind person!

When have you ever known me to buy any animal without doing a ton of research first? well? This is not a thread about if I should get a dog, or what type of dog I should get. I'm askin for suggestions of ways to butter up my landlord.
