Well Journalism is something that you have brought up before. In fact you were using that fact as a reason why you should get some experience on the board.
Further more alot of the things you say are not subjective at all, which is something you would expect from a journalism student or someone interested in purusing journalism.
As for understanding with regards to Journalism, it is in itself a fairly self-explanatory and easily understood field of study and lifestyle. You are not exactly cracking the atom here!

yeah but none of you know how i feel about journalism, what kind of journalist i intend to be, and more importantly, nobody considers the fact that unlike the losers in my class i dont look at everything from an academic point of view.

But are the basics of jounalism not the same no matter kind of journalist you want to be?

yes and no. it depends what kind of journalism it is, what kind of ethics need to be applied, whether or not you need to get personally involved with your work etc.

But surely all jounalism is based on giving an open unbiased view of the situation.

not neccessarily, it should, but that mostly only happens in the news reporting end of things.

The site has turned to shite, mindless drivel most of it. i'd have to agree there. theres just nothing really that interesting anymore, and its hard for there to be when its only the same few that post. me and Tom kept it going for about a week, people did log on but just lurked in the background!
