Me and My mate were thinking of going tonight , I havn't been there since I was 18 about 8 years ago.
Last time I passed by it there were loads of blokes coming out of it with makeup and skirts on so not my type of place.
Heard its under new management ? Do they play Grunge, Seventies rock, funk or is it still gothic/black metal?
Whelans is getting a bit shit too crowded.

They play a good mix of everything really, the blokes with the skirts and make up were either at a fancy dress or coming out of Dominion! LOL
It is under new management and the layout has changes a bit, there's a new beergarden upstairs and a new stage area for live bands. Downstairs is the same as always, cept the old beergarden is gone. Friday is a good night to go, buzzin but not packed and all the little kiddies spend their €20 allowance on a Thursday cause the drink is cheaper.

Sounds Alright will give it a shout, does anyone know a guy called John Hughes that used to drink there say back in 95 or something? I think he was from kilbarrack or somewhere.
Lost contact with him over the years.
Glad to see on your site you had a plaque for warren.
His mum Yvonne is friends with my sister and she used to be friends with my mother. Very Sad.

Oh could you imagine what all of those movies would have been like if Hughes had have been Irish. Breakfast Club in the De La Salle Killbarack....instead of pranks they just burn the fucking school down.
16 candles......she goes knacker drinking with her friends and gets bolloxed drunk and vomits everywhere.
Ferris Buellers Day Off....he goes to town, gets done for Shoplifting and gets put in St Pats.

It wasnt ten people, he was involved in a car crash in which an old couple were killed. To the best of my knowledge, it was deemed an accident and he has been back since.
